Shri Phanishwar Nath Renu Engineering College (SPNREC), Araria, is a full-fledged government institution under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of Bihar, and must operate as such. However, in academic and related areas, it needs to be responsive and a participant in the decisions and deliberations of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and other apex bodies such as the National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training & Research (NITTTR), in order to ensure innovations in the pedagogical and practical aspects of technical education. The institute's administration and management are also focused on these goals. Though the Principal is in charge of all activities and movements at the institute, the various service departments work under the supervision of a faculty of proven capability to ensure smooth operation and efficient administration.
